GHP today operates four hospitals at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman in the United Arab Emirates. Business operations have developed very positively under GHP management and GHP is actively working to expand in the region.

In addition to hiring strong international operators and owners for hospitals and clinics, the Gulf Region's health ministries have expressed their desire to combine assignments to operate hospitals with education and training of hospital personnel, as well as further development of health care programmes. Skåne Care represents Region Skåne, including its hospitals and teaching hospitals, and has the experience and capacity to offer training and the development of health care processes. Skåne Care is thus a strong partner alongside GHP.

GHP and Skåne Care see great advantages in being able to have a broader approach together in discussions and service offerings that will be of benefit to patients.

GHP and Skåne Care already have ongoing collaboration in areas such as the development of a health care programme for stroke patients and diabetes care at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman. The new collaboration agreement does not in itself involve any new business operations or commitments, but is an expression of the two parties' will to work together on the many opportunities that exist in the region.
